Giveaway: Framed & Matted by Elise Joseph

When it comes to interior design, artwork has always been the one thing that I find myself afraid of! It can really make or break a room (that's a lot of pressure!) and be a big investment. Fortunately, with the help of some great frames, I couldn't be happier about the art in my new home. Framing some of my favorite posters has instantly cozied up the living space.

Today, I am so excited to host a giveaway with framed & matted - an online company offering high-quality custom frames that are simple and affordable. I'm using the Brompton and Landon frames above. The process is so easy to do yourself, or you have the option of sending off your artwork to have framed.

To enter for the chance to win a $200 gift card, please sign up for the framed & matted newsletter and leave a comment below. Winner will be announced Wednesday, February 4th. Best of luck!

Benjamin Moore x Pennyweight by Elise Joseph

A peek into my bedroom: I'm slowly settling into my new apartment, and couldn't be happier with the bones of the space. In general, I tend to stick to whites and neutrals, but decided to go more dramatic and moody this time with a black bedroom - the color is Universal Black 2118-10 by Benjamin Moore. I have partnered with them to inspire a life in color, and their 2015 color trend ideas couldn't be more on point. The berry family has actually influenced my entire bedroom - cozy dark walls, crisp white bedding, a soft sage candle and fresh cut flowers with pops of pinks and purples. Dark walls do take some getting used to, but with the balance of bright natural light, sheer curtains, simple decor and subtle color punches, I'm loving the fresh change.

I am really proud to introduce to you a new feature for Pennyweight this year. Each month, I will be sharing a curated playlist based around the mood of the seasons and the months that they contain. I'm thrilled to be partnering with the talented Julia Kostreva for the album art, and can't wait to see what she creates as she listens to each mixtape.
