You know when life is crazy and it gets hard to keep up? Yep... I had every intention of returning to this space to document my inspirations, adventures and more these past several months, but running a new business and renovating a house put a slight damper on those plans. I've felt a bit like this since February, but I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Phase one of our home renovation is complete (!!!), and I'm anxious to share more with you soon. For now, I thought I'd tell you about some of my best purchases over the last few months—the necessities that have helped get me through the stressful times.
Sonos Play 1 speakers. There is music on in our house 24/7, and we'd be lost without these beauties. I love being able to walk into different rooms and not miss a beat (quite literally).
F. Miller Face Oil. This stuff has been a part of my daily ritual and self care practice. The smell is incredible and my skin feels so moisturized and glowy after use.
Union Magazine. Really just any inspiring book or magazine in general. Honorable mentions also include this and this.
Daily Harvest smoothies. Am I the only one that resorts to copious amounts of takeout when I'm busy? Thankful for easy, healthy meals that I can turn to in a hurry.
Capacity by Big Thief. This record is incredibly beautiful, and there's something seriously relaxing about playing it on vinyl. I like having to get up to flip it over-it makes me a more active listener.
Oak and Linen Table Lamp. This light is a piece of art and makes even my unpacked boxes in the corner feel fancy. The perfect lighting can make all the difference at the end of the day.
Vitruvi Stone Diffuser. This was actually a birthday gift, but it's a current favorite around here. I always talk about things that are functional and beautiful, and this diffuser really fits the bill. Aromatherapy stimulates brain function and has decreased our stress levels while living amidst a construction zone.
Little Seed Farm Deodorant Cream. My friend Eileen makes some of my favorite skincare products (I swear by the activated charcoal soap bar and a soon-to-be-released lavender face lotion). This natural deodorant is aluminum and baking soda-free and seriously works.
Dohm Sound Machine. While this may not be the most aesthetically pleasing piece, my body is forever grateful for the sleep that it induces. I plugged it in under the bed so that it's out of sight, but the white noise is easily adjustable and incredibly relaxing.
