Honeymooners / Part I

What a whirlwind this month has been! From work to our wedding to the honeymoon and holidays, it's been an especially crazy December. I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm already reminiscing about our dreamy trip to Tulum, Mexico, and thought it'd be fun to share some details from the first half of the honeymoon - we took a combination of disposable camera shots, digital and iPhone. Some of our favorite things:

+The Beach Tulum. We didn't venture out a ton, mostly because we stayed at this incredible boutique hotel that was right on the beach. The eco-friendly design had a tropical, breezy feel and private rooftops, patios with hammocks, amazing service and delicious food.

+Casa Jaguar. A romantic, jungle vibe where we enjoyed fresh fish and unbelievable drinks for an intimate dinner one evening. And the cocktails in Tulum definitely exceeded my expectations.

+Hartwood. The much-raved about restaurant that we unfortunately weren't able to make it to. They are only open a few days a week and you have to arrive early in the afternoon to make a reservation. I've heard it's definitely worth it!

+Ziggy's. This is the main restaurant at The Beach Tulum. Their food was so fresh and amazing, and we ate and drank our weight in guacamole and mezcal. The traditional Mexican breakfast was divine, too.

+Coqui Coqui. A beautiful six-room resort and perfumeria nearby that we walked to for some shopping. I wanted to pick up the Tabaco Aqua De Colonia.

+Copal Incense. They are burning this everywhere in Tulum, and for good reason - it smells so good. We couldn't leave without buying up a bunch to enjoy at home.
