One of my wildest dreams has always been to see the world. I have been fortunate to travel quite a bit throughout my twenty-six years, and am thankful that the doors have opened for me to continue to do so. Lately I have been getting a lot of questions: Are you moving to LA? Will you stay in Nashville? What's this I hear about Portland?
I've spent the last three months in Los Angeles, recently went home to Nashville, Tennessee to pack up my house and put my dearest possessions in storage, and this weekend I'll take off on a drive up to Portland, Oregon where I'll be spending the next six weeks. While I'm there, I will be taking small business classes, collaborating with friends and artists and mapping out the upcoming year. My goal is to travel as much as possible - experiencing different cultures, meeting local makers and picking up some vintage gems before settling down and opening a shop in 2015. It is a season of researching, gathering, growing, learning, asking questions... challenging myself to live more kindly, graciously and in the moment.
I want to push myself out of my comfort zone. I want to try new things. I want to document the people, the obstacles and the inspirations I encounter along the way. I want to share stories.
I have a rough outline of places I'd like to visit, but am looking for suggestions on what to do, where to eat, how to pack, where to stay and everything in between. Have a project, collaboration idea or just want to grab a cup of coffee? I'd love to hear it.
Pardon the mess, but the list below includes some of the cities, states and countries I'm currently dreaming of:
Asheville | Austin | Australia | Bali | Belgium | Charleston | Chicago | England | Germany | Guatemala | Iceland | Italy | Japan | Maine | Minneapolis | Morocco | New Orleans | New York City | New Zealand | Prague | Richmond | Salt Lake City | San Francisco | Seattle | South Africa | Spain | Stockholm | Toronto | Turkey | Vancouver | Vietnam | Washington, D.C.
Here's to living out our own personal adventures - whether near, far or every corner of the world.
Hope to bump into you along the way...
